Savana, our very first Such a Doll winner, continues to be a popular doll today!
It’s that time again! The 8th Annual Such A Doll!™ photo contest is underway. From now until December 4, 2020, you are invited to submit to us photos of your cutest, most charming, must snuggly little ones (newborns – six months)* for our Facebook fans to vote on**. The prize? The baby pictured will have his or her likeness captured by Master Doll Artist Ping Lau then crafted into a premium-quality Ashton-Drake So Truly Real® doll!
In order to enter the contest you’ll need a photo that:
- depicts a baby aged newborn to six months
- has a clear image of the baby’s face from a frontal perspective
- shows the baby has an engaging personality
Following are some pointers to help ensure you submit the best possible photo of your little one:
Use good lighting
To make sure your photo looks crisp and is free of intrusive shadows, always take your pictures in well- lit settings. Also, use side lighting to avoid aiming your camera directly at the light source.
Avoid blur
Even a little shakiness can result in a blurry photo. To prevent this, try using a tripod or resting your arms on a chair while snapping your shot.
Don’t be afraid to experiment
Don’t feel like you have to stick with the first shot you take. Have fun and experiment with different angles and framing to find the image that most captures that adorable personality. Do make sure however, that image clearly shows a frontal view of the little one’s face.
By following these simple tips, you can be sure the world will get to see just how beautiful your little one truly is!
