Easter is a very special time of year. Warm breezes have swept away the chill winter winds and the sweet aroma of lilacs fills the air. It’s a confirmation that spring is really here, bringing hope, promise, and memories along with it.
As I wait in my screened-in front porch for my children and grandchildren to arrive for our long Easter weekend, I can’t help but become nostalgic. I can just see the little ones bounding across the yard peering under bushes and behind trees for the eggs we hid. I can feel the warmth and comfort from the morning’s church service. And, of course, I can smell the ham in the kitchen waiting to be eaten along with carrots, potatoes, and everyone’s favorite, the coconut-covered Easter lamb cake.
The biggest smile spreads across my face. And that’s what Easter is all about. Smiles, joy, and even peace to those who might be struggling with life’s challenges.
The same can be said of our dolls! This time of year, the creative team and I love discussing our favorite Easter memories, and reading the heartwarming stories of the comfort and love that our dolls have brought to our fans.
From creative sessions like these, some of our classic springtime dolls came to be. Ready for Bed Rylee, with her gentle expression, lavender scent, and precious bunny sleeper, brings peace and contentment to all who snuggle her. And Hopped into My Heart, in her floppy-eared bunny bunting is the perfect reminder of Easter and all its new beginnings.
Being able to share dolls like those with you makes me feel truly blessed. And as I await the joys of the Easter weekend ahead, it’s my special springtime wish that all of you have a holiday filled with joy, family, and friendship.
