2023 is just around the corner! I love the idea of falling asleep in one year and waking up in a new one. I realize that it’s just a day, right? But it’s the intention of wanting to start anew. The desire to want to start fresh with a new 365 days laid out in front of you to plan, to make your goals and – with courage and passion, reach them. And I believe that is the real goal, to approach these obstacles with a passion like never before or to commit to our passions to give us a better sense of ourselves.
One of our goals at Ashton-Drake is to brin you the new and innovative dolls each year. That means our range of collectibles comes from a place of passion. A commitment to bring you premium quality baby and portrait dolls to bring a sense of joy and offer an artistic view of the beauty of the world. And with that, in January we are bringing you 11 new dolls that we can’t wait to show you.
One of my goals this year is to spend more time in nature. So, when I look at the masterpiece that is Deer Maiden of the Morning Star, not only does she appear at peace with her deer companions, but she reminds me what it means to truly connect with the earth. It certainly doesn’t mean I will be transforming myself into a princess who sings with the birds – it just gives me a sense of awe and a desire to want to respect nature in more meaningful ways than I did before.
The impish Cornish Pixies inspire a few things for me- an aspiration to get out there and have a bit of fun, and to remind me of why I love the world of Harry Potter so much. The stories that are within 7 books recall tales of bravery, adventure and friendship. Aside from being things I have valued through many years; they’re lessons I want to pass on to my kids.
